Kimberly Rowland, Managing Partner, Certified Manager of Community Associations, Real Estate Broker

With 15+ years in Property Management, Real Estate and Finance, Kimberly co-founded Epoch with long-time associates Steve Kovacik & Dave Laczi. In her role, she manages the complex relationships between associations, homeowners, municipalities, financial institutions and utilities.  She is a tenured CEO that has set the standard for developing and supervising associations with clients from Vail to Eagle, including Avon, Edwards, and Cordillera. As a volunteer for many years, she was the Director of Education for the Vail Valley Foundation, the Accountability President at Battle Mountain High School and the Parent-Teacher Co-Chair at the Vail Mountain School. She has served on many Boards: Riverdance at Arrowhead HOA, Eagle Valley Land Trust, Colorado Snowsports Museum, Jimmie Heuga Center for Multiple Sclerosis, and she was a Community Trustee for the Vail Valley Medical Center. Her family has called the Vail Valley home since 1997.

Steve Kovacik, Director of Operations

Steve has over 20 years of management and service experience in the Vail Valley.  Our clients appreciate his reliable communications, sincere focus on relationships and prompt professionalism. He consistently finishes projects on-schedule and under-budget, making him the first choice for Associations, homeowners and vendors.  Over the last 10 years, Steve’s focus has been on Community Association management & services, and high-end remodels.  His major projects have included roof, stair and siding replacements, asphalt, landscaping, and painting on the commercial scale.  Steve is adept at managing the complex relationships between homeowners, contractors, boards, and municipalities.   After finishing college at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, he moved to Vail in 1994 and opened a restaurant.  When asked where he learned his communication & negotiating skills, he once said: “My mother, of course, but you learn more about people trying to close your bar at 2 AM during Vail Spring Break!”  Steve regularly donates his time to The Homestake Peak Middle School, where he coaches soccer.  Steve has called Vail home for over 20 years, enjoying all that our Valley has to offer. He and his wife are raising their three children in West Vail.

Dave Laczi, Director of Maintenance & Construction

Dave has over 15 years of construction management experience, primarily in framing, remodels and roofing. Most recently he was the Director of Maintenance and Services at a large property management firm in Avon. His projects have included multi-unit, roof replacements, deck and stair replacements, commercial painting, asphalt projects, and commercial boiler & HVAC repair. Dave worked as Superintendent at Turner Morris Roofing as well as Crew-leader for a Property Management company in Denver. After college in NY, Dave moved to Colorado for the mountain lifestyle. At first, he worked on high-end remodels and as an instructor at Copper Mountain. When asked where he developed his management style, Dave wholeheartedly said: “Have you ever tried to teach a class of 8-year old’s how to snowboard?” He enjoys everything outdoors, and he and his young family live in Eagle CO.
